Fraudulent Text Message Alert

Please be aware that fraudulent text messages are being sent by an unknown entity portraying themselves as HHCU. This scam seeks to verify a charge, and prompts the recipient to click a link to decline or cancel. Upon clicking the link, recipients are asked for their confidential login credentials.

To report this scam, verify the legitimacy of a text message alert, or if you have provided your confidential card or banking credentials to a fraudulent entity, please contact our Hoosier Hills Contact Center experts at 800.865.2612 or 812.279.6644, email us at info@hoosierhills.com, or notify your local Service Center.

Change in Terms Notice – External Transfers

Effective March 31, 2026

As part of our commitment to secure and streamline banking, we want to inform you of an important change to the terms of your Money Market Account, Club Account, Home Equity Line of Credit, and/or Visa® Credit Card at Hoosier Hills Credit Union. Soon, direct external transfers will only be permitted through online or mobile banking using your Share Savings or Checking Account.


What’s Changing

Effective March 31, 2026, direct external transfers from the following Hoosier Hills accounts to other financial institutions will no longer be permitted via mobile/online banking:

  • Money Market Account
  • Club Account
  • Home Equity Line of Credit
  • Hoosier Hills Visa® Credit Card

Funds from these accounts must first be transferred to a Hoosier Hills Share Savings or Checking Account before being transferred externally.


What This Means for You

  • Direct external transfers from your Money Market Account, Club Account, Home Equity Line of Credit, or Hoosier Hills Visa® Credit Card will no longer be possible.
  • Funds must first be transferred to your Hoosier Hills Share Savings or Checking account before being externally transferred.
  • This change applies to all one-time and recurring external transfers. Any recurring external transfers currently scheduled directly from a Money Market Account, Club Account, Home Equity Line of Credit or Hoosier Hills Visa Credit Card using online/mobile banking must be modified prior to March 31, 2026.
  • Internal transfers within Hoosier Hills Credit Union are not affected.
  • External transfers from Share Savings and Checking Accounts remain permitted.

Why This Change Is Being Made

  • We are making this change to improve security, reduce operational risk, and decrease manual processing. By limiting external transfers from these accounts only, we can streamline processes, better protect Member accounts, and maintain accurate reporting.
